I have finally settled down to write books for children since wanting to do this as a child myself. In those days I loved writing stories and my class mates loved reading them. But then we grew older and our stories had to grow more sophisticated. The new (horrid) english teacher did not approve of nonsense. So I stopped.
Then we went to the States and, being ineligible for employment, I started to write again. Then we got divorced and I stopped, came back to England and had to work and raise kids as a single mum.
Now I have the time and the means and ideas to start again. If I want to write nonsense I can, if I can shape the nonsense into stories I will because it is a lot fun trying.
